Leaders from key community organizations met last month to discuss a county wide rollout of the evidence-based program.

Triple P America’s Courtney Towne says at some point every parent needs support.

“We want to see Triple P really help parents have more confidence in their parenting role, and have more fun, frankly, in the parent-child relationship, and that’s totally achievable with this kind of a rollout,” she says.

In the short term, the community organization leaders also hope to reduce the number of children entering the child welfare system. In the longer term, they want to lower the number of child abuse and neglect cases in Greene County and, in turn, reduce crime.

Greene County families can expect to be seeing and hearing more about the evidence-based parenting program in late spring to early summer.
