Triple P lands in South Africa

Triple P has now arrived in South Africa, with 18 newly-trained practitioners about to be the first in the country to deliver Triple P to parents.

The nation now joins a growing international community of countries where Triple P training has been delivered, including the U.S.A., Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, Turkey, France, Iran, Chile, Germany and many others.

Group Teen Triple P will be the first intervention available in South Africa, initially in the city of Tshwane. Plans are underway for the initiative to be evaluated by the University of Pretoria.

The project has been guided by Triple P International’s Head of International Development, Jacquie Brown and South African Implementation Consultant, Cecile Winkelman, and is locally coordinated by Dr Msizi Dube, with the support of lead agency Ubuntu.
