Supporting parents during COVID-19

Maintaining high-quality parenting support

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic presents unprecedented challenges with difficult decisions to be made to protect ourselves and others, and mitigate the spread of the virus.

As practitioners, we understand the significant difference that our parenting support makes to the daily lives of those we work with and their families, providing nurturing, stable homes and improving outcomes for children and young people. It's therefore crucial that we work together to ensure that families can continue to access the support they need safely and in a timely and effective manner.

How we can help you

With the global response to the pandemic increasingly restricting people's movements, we are developing guidelines to support the flexible delivery of our programs through a range of alternative delivery formats. These are designed to ensure continuity of support with minimal disruption for the parents and families we serve. In addition to supporting you to tailor your service delivering, Our Implementation Consultants can support you to develop an effective Triple P Provider Training offer, with additional precautions that are compliant with the most up to date government guidance.

Alternative delivery methods

We are already working with several partners to make sure that services can continue to be made available safely, through our innovative digital offering Triple P Online. This includes:

  • Guidelines for conducting high-quality and impactful programmes via telephone and video conference
  • Access to Triple P Online for parents (with the option of practitioner support via phone or email if additional support is required)
  • Triple P Provider Training and Practitioner Support delivered remotely via video-conferencing

Providing continuity for families

With the situation likely to continually change, providing continuity of support for parents, children and young people, is even more important, offering much needed stability and security.

It is vital we overcome any potential barriers presented by COVID-19 and prepare for the challenges ahead, to ensure that no family is deprived of the support they need, at what is already a difficult time.

Please do not hesitate to contact us and discuss your options in more detail. We look forward to working with you to ensure that all families can continue to access the support they need.
